Advantages: reduction of polishing costs by 30-40% compared to electrochemical polishing technology in acid solutions, environmental friendliness of production (there are no acid vapors and odors). The electrolyte used in the production of works consists of 95% water and is easily disposed of by traditional methods. The working bath is not subject to corrosion and is operated during the entire life of the EPO equipment. Typical ventilation systems are used to ensure the removal of the resulting water vapor.
Main characteristics:
- electrical power consumption of the equipment – from 3 to 1000 kW;
- the area of the treated surface – from 0.8 to 280 dm2;
- voltage – 280-300 V;
- current density – 0.12–0.15 A / cm2;
- the duration of one treatment cycle is 3-5 minutes.
