Purpose: the technology is intended for the formation of a protective coating by thermal diffusion treatment in powder media based on hot-dip galvanizing waste with the integration of the galvanizing process into the overall heat treatment cycle.
Advantages: the technology provides processing of products with a surface of any complexity (the coating is uniform and exactly repeats the surface profile) and excellent adhesion to paint coatings without the use of primers (swelling and peeling of paints from the surface is excluded). The process is environmentally friendly.
Main characteristics: the achieved thickness of the diffusion layer is 10-80 microns. The structure and phase composition of the coating provide increased resistance to corrosion destruction and mechanical stress (the technology provides the maximum integral microhardness of all known zinc coatings up to 4500 MPa).
Economic viability: the high economic efficiency of thermal diffusion galvanizing is due to the use of synthetic media based on hot-dip galvanizing waste, energy savings by eliminating the final operations of heat treatment of products, combining into one technological operation of applying a protective coating and forming the required operational properties of products.
