Software Application “BySafetyIndex”

Purpose: organization and safety of movement; assessment of the quality of movement organization based on the passive data collection method.

Advantages:

• improving the efficiency of traffic management services;
• reducing the labor intensity of collecting, processing and storing information in a systematic and user friendly form; 
• improving the efficiency of work (including convenient visualization of calculation results);
• the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of design, organizational and management decisions even at the stage of their development and implementation.

Main features: input information required for the program to work contains information about the time, coordinates and their accuracy of vehicle movement according to the NMEA standard for GPS. After uploading these tracks, the user selects sections of the road network for analysis and calculates parameters if there are enough tracks for the selected section.

Technical and economic justification: a computer program allows you to automate the collection, processing and visualization of road network parameters, which dramatically reduces labor costs and time to assess the effectiveness of implemented measures to organize traffic, and allows you to choose the best solution in terms of minimizing losses in traffic.
